I want to talk about the power of words, written or spoken. There is magic infused into your words.
Write down a wish.
Think of a wish and blow out a candle.
Whisper your dreams to the sky.
Say a prayer.
Create a world through a story.
Give thanks in a poem.
Dreams come true when we write them down, speak them out.
We become the words we speak.
And the words we speak come from our heart.
When I think about the power of words, I'm reminded that they can help us to embrace our beauty. The words we think and speak can boost our self-acceptance.
Here's a little beauty ritual adapted from Kenny Klein's Snow White Ritual.
♥ Keep a journal of what you feel makes you attractive and write/collage/draw in it a little each day for a month.
♥ Gather these on the new moon:
candle, rose oil, apple, floral incense, red wine
♥ As the incense burns, place the oil on your forehead and say, "Purify my mind that I may let go of past shyness and discomfort and embrace the me that is to be."
♥ Place the oil on your throat and say, "Let my words be magic."
♥ Place the oil on your heart and say, "May my heart guide me and self-love find me."
♥ Place the oil on your loins and say, "May passion have me and may I have passion."
♥ Place the oil on each foot and say, "May my footsteps guide me to adoration and fulfillment."
♥ Burn the candle and repeat this affirmation:
I wake from my sleep and enter the world reborn. I am confident and sure. I will show the world my beauty, my strength, my charm, and my most lovely attributes. I will show wholeness of who I am, unafraid of rejection.
♥ Look through your journal and reflect on how you want to see yourself, attributes you want to cultivate, and what you want to bring into your life.
♥ Eat the apple, drink the red wine, and relax!
♥ On the full moon, put your journal in a secret place and burn a candle. Continue writing and creating in your journal as desired.
♥ If need be, perform this ritual on new/full moons for several months to boost your confidence and embrace your beauty.
