Do you know what makes you tick? Make lists of what you love and abhor; research the brain to find out how it works and what makes you happy (if you know what's going on up there, it's easier to control); listen to your body; get to know yourself like you would get to know a love interest. Ask yourself the big questions: What's my purpose and passion? What do I want from life? and the little ones: What flavor ice cream makes me ridiculously happy? The more you know about yourself, the easier it is to flow through life.
2. Move That Booty
Even just a little movement goes a long way; a half-hour walk can clear the mind and the body. Exercise increases your stamina, strengthens your heart, and boosts your mood. I know it's hard to get in the mood sometimes, but once you're moving and shaking you'll immediately feel better. If exercise isn't your thing, try stretching your muscles and lengthening your spine. Roughly 70% of our bodies are made up of water; think of it as an ocean and let the waves tumble through your belly and around your ribs. Move as if you are moving with the waves - it will help you get out all the fuzz between your muscles.
3. Take a Chance
Is there something your heart wants to do, but your head is saying no? Take the leap! See yourself ten years from now - are you regretting not taking that chance? Wondering what might have happened? We usually end up regretting what we didn't do as opposed to what we did. And if it doesn't work out, that's okay too. A situation is rarely as awful as we imagine it to be.
