I found this whimsical book for mere pennies at Half-Price Books, but it's worth way more. Mademoiselle shows you how to make beautiful lucky charms and talismans. There are over 45 projects (from jewelry to dolls to amulets to a wishing tree) and she even explains where each charm originated from and the power it holds.

This book is a treasure chest of doodles, squiggles, and color-popping art journaling. I can't draw to save my life, but Violette's easy instructions inspire my inner wannabe doodler.

I first met Lisa through a Flickr group for fairy art lovers and I've always enjoyed her sugary sweet artistic touch. So when I saw that she had a book I snatched it up. It's full of magical crafts ranging from spellbinding altered books to Marie Antoinette paper dolls.

Like I said, I can't draw for beans, but Misty's work is awe-inspiring. Plus, there's lots of other stuff to explore in Unfurling; try the collage techniques, stamp carving, clay pottery, or origami.
