Blogging, The Sacred Middle, & What's to Come

Both my June horoscope and tarot reading point to patience and slow and steady work. It's fitting since I've been thinking a lot about blogging and business.

The card I pulled for June (from the Gaian tarot deck) was Seven of Earth. The 7 cards' themes are initiation, inner work, self-awareness, focus, and setting intentions.

The affirmation for Seven of Earth is "I trust that my efforts are growing to fruition in their own good time."

I've struggled with rushing the process lately because I see other people who have already accomplished their dreams, some in under two years, and it makes me wonder what kind of voodoo they used.

But it's this kind of thinking that ultimately holds me back. I can't rush the process because my time is different that someone else's and so is my journey. I also can't create for everyone. All too often I think I try to write with a general audience in mind. That neither satisfies me nor the readers.

I want to get more focused on what it is I'm passionate about sharing and what will bring benefit to others.

I hope in the following weeks you'll see a change, maybe subtle at first, within The Sacred Middle. Even though I haven't written here in a few weeks, I've thought about it non-stop, planning and dreaming of what I want it to be, how I want it to feel.

I'm working on an editorial calendar and design elements. I want this to be like a magical library where we all gather in a circle, sit on plush pillows, sip coffee or tea, and buzz with conversation about writing and creating, dreaming and magic, living enchanted lives.

I want The Sacred Middle to be exactly what the name signifies, the present moment - that magical "zone" of time where the past and future cease to exist and we're all lost in the moment.

I hope to see you around as I build this place into what I've always dreamed it would be.

Thank you for loving and dreaming and creating with me!
