Seven things that have me smiling :) Hubs and I are house sitting for some dear friends who are on holiday in England. Although I miss them, I am thoroughly enjoying their swimming pool and beach side home! I swim in the pool everyday and walk the dogs on the beach morning and evening. It's nice being able to sit on the rocks and dip my feet into the ocean any time of day. I've also collected shells, marble slabs, colorful stones, and blue, green, and white sea glass. After Breaking Bad ended I was hungry for more, but wasn't sure I'd get into the spin off series Better Call Saul. Wrong! I just finished watching the first season and LOVE it! It's every bit as good as Breaking Bad with a well-developed story and characters you just can't help but get attached to. I stumbled upon Deborah Ballinger's artwork yesterday and I'm in love. She has a whole line of star sign pieces (Leo is above) and fantastical, and somewhat haunting, images. Definitely my cuppa tea. For months I've been searching for a chickpea burger recipe that a) tastes delicious, b) is healthy, c) is super easy, and d) stays together in the pan. The latter was the hardest part. Even with gobs of flour mashed into the chickpea mixture, I couldn't get the patties to hold together. Then along came this Easy Chickpea Oat Veggie Burger recipe from Lauren Blake of Whole Living Lauren. Let me tell you, it fits every requirement. Plus, hubs digs it and he normally turns his nose up at faux burgers. Sometimes the sky looks so amazing that I can't believe it's real. After months of waiting and an email to Amazon asking (Where the heck are my cards??!) I finally received these beauties. I charged them by sunlight and held them to my heart. :) The Star is one of my favorite cards. This is terrifying, but also amusing.
